Milky Sway - Cosmic Touch [video]

We all know Jem's truly outrageous (truly, truly outrageous). Here's a new video from Jorge Torrens (also see Port City) for Milky Sway, Cosmic Touch—which features a great clip from one of her obviously outrageous episodes. Oddly enough, I've been singing Jem all day...

This track is off the album, Sexy Casual. Grab it on Bandcamp

In addition to that, Milky Sway has also ganged up with Candy Starlight and just released a free album on Bandcamp entitled, Fantasy Night. Listen to a couple of the tracks below and watch the video.

heRobust - Snail Gate [video]

Unlike a lot of other retro-style videos that have been surfacing, this one pops with so much color that its polished appearance becomes truly hypnotic (I don't even have the right words for it, really). As much as I love the faded retro-look (can't express that enough!), it's refreshing to see this new style come about by the bold (and dare I say—beautiful?) Boldtron brothers.

I've watched this a few times, and I'm definitely not going to stop there—I'm so blown away by this!

This is off heRobust's album, Albumin. Stream the entire thing on his Bandcamp or download it for free over on the Saturate Records' page.

Check this track, too.

Cooltombs - 100% Olive Garden

What we have here is a case of bribery! Someone (Nolan) has asked me to link to Peirce Brosnan's wiki page somewhere in this post in exchange for a tape. Well, while I already have the album (and don't need to use up your precious resources, bb), I thought this would be fun. So, somewhere in this post, you will find the grand gateway to all the Brahz trivia you could ever imagine—in addition to some other random stuff along the way.

Did you find it yet?? Maybe it's in Da Bowties Pasta?  Dig deep now, Cooltombs is dishing up a whopping 100% of it Olive Garden style; so you can forget about that fancy Friday feast tonight and dine on this instead!

[MP3] Cooltombs - 100% Olive Garden

How 'bout now? Any luck? Have you checked here??

Cooltombs' debut album is currently available on Bandcamp as a name your price (and apparently, there are tapes, too!) Email Nolan if you want won't regret it. Or maybe you will? Depending on what's at stake!

Nolan, you're a gem.

Wir Sind Keine Eltern - Wir Bleiben Nicht Alle [video]

Another hypnagogic, or to some (ahem), h-pop track for you to check out. This one is off an upcoming Skeehn release for Wir Sind Keine Eltern; and if you're like me, and are only skilled in the English language (let's be honest here), that means, We Are Not Parents (or so my google translater claims). Here's the new video for Wir Bleiben Nicht Alle—though, it's a bit shorter than the EP version below.

This will be released in late May, so keep an eye out.

La Big Vic - Mr. Broken Bird [video]

La Big Vic's latest, which they just debuted, and I can't stop watching (with and without my eyes closed!), is currently only available in video form—pixelated video collage form, to be exact. Their full-length, Actually, actually drops May 10 on Underwater Peoples, so get after it; and get after this.

If you missed any of La Big Vic's tracks in circulation, head over to SoundCloud or check out a couple below.

I have to thank Ric Leichtung for sharing this video with me earlier. Not to mention, soon after, I saw that Rezzie featured it yesterday on Weird Magic. Gotta give both of you guys La Big Love.

Exeter - To Be With You Everywhere

Having been a long-time fan of Fleetwood Mac and their track, Everywhere, I can't help but get so totally sucked into this heavy electro pop version—especially when the voice manipulation comes in. I've gone back to it many times since Evan Doyle sent this my way over a week ago, and every time, it gets better and better...and better.

Grab it on SoundCloud and listen to this everywhere.

Ela Orleans - Walking Man [video]

As Mother Nature continues to confuse us with this dreary weather, there is now evidence of a brighter spring popping up around every corner and hanging on every branch outside our windows.

Here is the latest (and oh-so-fitting Monday track/video) from Ela Orleans—gray and gloomy with enough color to make anyone's solitary stride surprisingly "springy".

This is off the upcoming 16-track cassette NEO PI-R. Pre-order is now available at Clan Destine Records. Limited to 100. Shipping May 1st.

Believer is the final track to be released off of John Maus' highly anticipated third full-length, We Must Become The Pitiless Censors Of Ourselves, which drops June 27th on Upset The Rhythm (in Europe and the UK) and June 28th on Ribbon Music (in North America).

Upset The Rhythm just uploaded the official vid to YouTube and also made this track available for download on SoundCloud. Check 'em both out below and get psyched.

Maria Minerva - More Than A Woman

Constantly surprised and completely blown away (always) by Maria Minerva's voice and musical makings, I finally wrote to her and requested this AMAZING Bee Gees cover that she uploaded on SoundCloud earlier today.

Apparently, her best friend—who, incidentally, is also named Maria—is staying with her, and while they both share the same name and the title of "each other's biggest fan," they've also been sharing thoughts on everything random from "philosophy to men and haircuts" over a time-span of "96 hrs" (and counting). This song is not only one of the most lovely and (again) AMAZING Bee Gees covers I have ever heard but it is also a symbol of their ever-loving friendship and a product of all the awesome weirdness that's been going on over there in London.

In addition to serenading each other with sweet-sweet love songs, the two Marias can be found "investigating the world of pop songs" through art and collabing under the moniker mariaUNDmaria. This track, according to Maria (the 1st), is actually somewhat of a sequel to their "performance, No More I Love You's - Language is Leaving Me".  Definitely curious to see what else these two will come up with...

Grab her Noble Savage 12" over at 100% Silk and def keep an eye out for her Cabaret Cixous release on Not Not Fun. Her ultra-limited Tallinn at Dawn cassette on the same label has sold out.

Lapti - Parallax

A mind-dripping beaut.

The Neighborhood

Here's some slow lovin', hair-stroking, face-touching, cheesy (in a good way) baby makin' music—getting chillzzz over here.

You may want to slip into something more sexy before you throw these tracks on, too... a set of silky satin sheets!....oh SHEET.

[MP3] The Neighborhood - From Me to You and Back Again

I def have to thank Henning over at NFOP for introducing me to these tracks the other day 'cause without him, I prob wouldn't have made it past the same skepticism that he, also, apparently had.

You can check out the rest of the album over at Bandcamp (but these are my fave).

Ellie Herring - Flailing in Attraction

Dark and beautiful like the wet streets of an unknown city—Ellie Herring takes you through a maze of experimental layers and atmospheric mystique and leaves you with a strange amount of peace and anxiety.

Her upcoming album, Flailing in Attraction, will be out June 7th on Race Car Productions. Check out the rest of her set on SoundCloud and read more about Ellie here.

Purity Ring - Lofticries

Here's another one from Gobble Gobble's Corin Roddick and Megan James. Compared to the heart-pounding A-side track, Ungirthed, this one pulses around Megan's soft and synthy vocals at a much slower rate—still just as beautiful and just as addictive.

This is the B-side track to the upcoming Ungirthed 7" on Transparent. Available here in North America or here in the UK/EU the 18th.

We've Got A Fuzzbox And We're Gonna Use It [flashback tracks + vid]

I've got some Fuzzbox and I'm gonna share it!

Word has it that this all-girl English quartet was named after the purchase of a distortion pedal and band member, Maggie Dunne, yelled out, "We've got a fuzzbox and we're gonna use it!" Their name was then shortened to Fuzzbox for their debut release in the U.S.

I've just been hangin' out with them all day and thought you might want in on the action. Here are a few of my favs.
